We had our fun show for Oak Hill this last Sunday. What a cold day the wind was blowing and snow was flying. No one seemed to mind too much if they got cold they just went up in the booth and sat where its warm and watched the show. The day was fun and seemed to go well. We had about 25 riders. Lots of spectators. They seemed happy enough watching as long as they were able to be warm. Lots of cheering for the riders. We had a few first time riders who did themselves proud. My daughter rode her new horse Pepsi they did pretty good and Allison rode her new horse Rhythm and he also did pretty good. They each had a few mishaps but nothing they couldn't handle. Well, I guess all in all the day went well.
We had a birth the evening after the show. The mare known as babydoll had a beautiful red and white paint filly. She is quite a pistol. The site of a new born foal always fills me with incredible emotion. They are so helpless and beautiful. The moms nickering in hushed tones and the foal responds with its first nicker. It is the most wondrous moment. It can't be described. Only felt. So I'll leave you with the thought of horses, horses, horses, We are blessed each day to be able to enjoy such wonderful animals. Talk to you next week Terri
